This beautiful reproduction, found in the back of an old zoology workshop in Balikpapan during a journey to Borneo, has been purchased following multiple negotiations and glasses of Arak, the famous Indonesian alcohol.

This crocodile species normally spends the humid tropical season in swamps and rivers, then joins the estuaries during dry seasons, sometimes going even up to the sea. It is the biggest living reptile, measuring sometimes up to 7m long !
